Valve's SteamOS is running on Apple Silicon Macs. And yes, it can run Windows games. FX Steam Launcher boots Valve's official ARM64 SteamOS image in a lightweight virtual machine on macOS 15+. Proton handles Windows games, FEX translates x86 code, and the graphics pipeline reaches Apple's Metal GPU API. You get the actual SteamOS environment on your Mac, with GPU acceleration. The project is open source. https://github.com/fxgl/steamac
