I found TWO Eiffel Towers in China. 1. Suzhou: ∼10m tall, with pink kiddie cars driving around it. Pure theme park joy. (pic 1) 2. Hangzhou Tianducheng: 108m tall, 1:3 scale replica, built in 2007 with its own Champs-Élysées. (pic 2) Paris is 330m. China said: we can do cute, and we can do big. Real Suzhou landmarks are the Gate of the Orient and the classical gardens, but these fakes tell a better story about how China dreams.
