Thailand’s Department of Disease Control issued a fresh warning on November 3, urging the public to watch for unusual rashes and blisters and seek medical attention immediately. Mpox (monkeypox) can cause fever, headaches, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, and painful skin lesions. ⚠️ One important detail many people may not know: the rash can also appear on the genitals and around the anus. Some patients may initially develop lesions only in these intimate areas. The virus can spread through close physical contact, sexual contact, and contaminated clothing, towels or bedding.
